6-14 mapHappy summer from GISetc! We’re slowing down our blogging over the summer months, but keep checking back for shared fun summer resources, maps & activities!

This might be fun to combine with your summer reading list! An interesting Google Maps feature animates static information found in books by organizing a sample of locations from them on an interactive map, with snippets of text from the book and links to the actual pages where the locations are mentioned. When google determines there are a good number of quality locations from a book to show you, you’ll find a map on the “About this book” page. Click here to learn more.

At GISetc.com we curate and bring you the best geography and science resources from the web. We hope our sharing will keep you up to date on the latest science and geospatial news.
