He has over 15 years of experience teaching human geography and GIS, as well as courses on world regional geography and economic geography. He has a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, an MA from San Diego State University, an MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and a PhD in Geography from San Diego State University/University of California, Santa Barbara.
